About Dennis Mahoney
I’m a writer in upstate NY. My first novel, coming in 2013 from Farrar, Straus and Giroux, is about a mailman who accidentally burns down a row of houses on his route and risks everything to make amends with the victims, especially a sculptor–grieving his wife’s death in the fire–who begins to carve mythological figures out of trees. My next project is a mystery-adventure set in a vibrant, supernatural Colonial America.
